“Me and my wife came to Iceland to celebrate my birthday. Although my birthday was in April, my wife decided to give me a present while we are in Iceland. Thus, in April – while still in States – I got just a B’day card. When I opened the card I found a little picture of a very cute helicopter! I got the idea! For a long time I expressed my deep desire to take a helicopter tour, but so far we could not manage that dream to come true. Finally, it did happen in Iceland! (Who could have thought?). First of all I must say that Helicopter.is has a fantastic and immaculate facility – it looks like an office from James Bond movie: I would not hesitate to eat my lunch on their floor! All helicopters are in brand new condition. When we arrive we saw our pilot – Reynir – meticulously preparing a helicopter for our flight. When we got inside the helicopter – Reynir fastened our seat belts and secured a passenger door. Then he checked helicopter’s “vital signs” and we took off! It was such an incredible feeling! The whole tour took an hour – during this hour we saw the whole Reykjavik, Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon, Geothermal plant and lots of spectacular lakes. Reynir was also very kind to give us a very informative narrative of the things that we saw while in flight. He was very kind, professional and gave us a very precious feeling that everything was going to be “OK”. Landing was so soft that we literally did not feel it. You really feel like “million bucks” in the sky! I just have to say that this trip a very memorable event in our lives!”
